香港游泳代表黃鍇威網誌:Why Inter-School Swimming Competition isn’t just about the championships?

Swimmers look forward to Inter-School Swimming Competition every year, but we have to remember that it is much more than just championships. Inter-School Swimming Competition has raised most of the Olympic HKG swimmers past decades such as Harbeth FU, Sherry TSAI, Hannah WILSON, Rosanna SZE and Stephanie AU. The championships along the years have created stories for the best swimmers, and most importantly sharing their hopes and dreams in the future. Every year swimmers represent their schools to participate in different events. It is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences one could ever have. Leadership of upper class-men becomes essential while they learn how to speak in public and learn to deal with media. On the other hand, lower class-men learn how to swim under pressure. Each championship has its own unique story. I am lucky enough to represent St. Joseph’s College 6 times in 7 years. Without such experience, I wouldn’t be able to do what I’m capable now.

Trust me in this saying : ” Any one of you kids can grow up to do anything, you are just a bundle of potential.”
Now step up and rise!
